Eudaimonia: goods moved carefully, across Myanmar

Something new to tell you about. Eudaimonia Company Limited opened this month in Mandalay — a logistics and distribution company with its own light-truck fleet, and a sister company to BamBite under Bamanovation.

Four services, one operator

Scheduled multi-drop distribution to shops, restaurants and depots. Point-to-point freight between cities, with consolidated loads for smaller consignments. Short-hold storage staging, so stock is not sitting in a vehicle between arrival and onward delivery. And contract logistics — a vehicle and driver assigned to your business on a standing schedule, at an agreed monthly rate.

Its own trucks, not brokered

No brokered handoffs and no anonymous subcontractors: the vehicle that collects your goods belongs to the company, and the person answering the phone knows where it is. The trucks are deliberately small — light covered vehicles reach narrow market lanes, shophouse frontages and yards with no loading bay, where an articulated lorry simply cannot go. Load beds are covered, drivers are named and reachable during the run, and every vehicle carries the company livery.

Built around Mandalay

The base, the depot and the density are all in Mandalay, running there daily and beyond it on scheduled routes. Ask about a route and you get a plain answer on whether they serve it.

Why the name

Eudaimonia is the old Greek word for flourishing — not luck, but the good that comes from doing a thing properly. An unusual name for a trucking company, which is the point: logistics is judged on the days it goes wrong, so they would rather be judged on whether the work was done well. The mark on the vehicles is grain held in cupped hands — the harvest, and the care taken with it.
